Prior to joining Forte in 2019, Jake was a financial management consultant and auditor with Grant Thornton LLP, the 6th largest public accounting and advisory firm in the USA. Jake was engaged in audits and annual filings with clients ranging from startups to small privately held businesses to larger publicly traded companies valued at over $1 billion. Jake was part of the Grant Thornton team for over 3 years and gained valuable experience in public accounting and financial management advisory across several industry sectors including manufacturing, food packaging, insurance, non-profit charities, healthcare, and technology companies.
Jake was also the lead associate on implementation of new Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) for one of the leading healthcare providers in the state of Pennsylvania, which resulted in the reclassification of millions of dollars in assets held or leased by the company.
Jake is a Certified Public Accountant and has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Michigan State University, majoring in accounting, and a Master of Accounting degree from Oakland University.
